Iceland. Gullfoss Waterfall

Iceland is a land of very beautiful waterfalls. Gullfoss (what means “Golden Falls”) is one of the them.

Gullfoss has also become one of the most popular tourist attractions in the whole country. Today it is hard to believe that in the first half of the 20th century there were made many attempts to start using this waterfall to generate electricity. Fortunately, nowadays Gullfoss is protected by the state of Iceland.
