Bürserberg. Panorama of Brand Community

We can see the ski slopes between two popular Austrian resorts in the district of Bludenz. When the camera turns to the northeast, we can see the trails of Bürserberg and on the opposite side is the Brand community.

Bürserberg is hidden behind tall trees, but the camera shows us the panorama of Brand. The population of the community is less than 1,000 people, but both winter and summer tourism is developed here.

Since its foundation (the first mention of Brand was dated to the 14th century), the village has been a quiet and peaceful place. Tourism began to develop in the 19th century, and many ropeways appeared in the middle of the twentieth century.

A new Gothic Roman Catholic parish church was built in the community. The house of the vicar and a couple of chapels can be identified from the monuments of architecture.
