Fiss. Panorama of the ski slopes from Zirbenhütte

The ski area on the northern slope of Schönjöchl is located in a picturesque place among the Alpine peaks and forests. The camera is installed at the bottom of the ski slopes, next to the Schöngampbahn lift station. The rotary camera of the hut, Zirbenhütte, periodically shows this ropeway with 8-seater chairs, built in 2002. The lower and upper stations of the ski lift are located at a distance of 1,380 meters from each other, while they have a height difference of just over 400 meters.

As you can see, vacationers can choose one of several wide slopes. All of them have variable terrain with springboards, fast straight stretches and a fairly comfortable rollout. Despite the seeming simplicity of the routes, they all have an increased level of complexity, so it is better for beginners to learn skiing or snowboarding on other tracks of Fiss.

Zirbenhütte is one of the few recreation places on the northern slope of Schönjöchl, with a restaurant large enough to accommodate all comers. Most tourists prefer to relax on the restaurant’s outdoor terrace, warming up with hot chocolate and enjoying the view of Schönjöchl.
