Jerzens. Mount Sechszeiger
The Sechszeiger cableway, built in 1986, serves a small area in the ski resort of Jerzens. The panoramic camera is installed at an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level, right on top of the mountain of the same name. The speed of Sechszeiger is over two meters per second, so you will have to spend more than seven minutes in a small chair going up the slope.
As you can see, tourists can get to Sechszeiger not only from Hochzeiger Station, but also using another funicular, Panoramabahn. Unlike the two-seater Sechszeiger, Panoramabahn offers comfortable six-seat armchairs moving at a speed of five meters per second. In five minutes, the lift will take you 568 meters high, covering the distance of 1,400 meters.
Sechszeiger is not only the beginning of ski slopes but also one of the destinations for summer holidays in the Tyrolean Alps. Several tourist routes include a visit to Sechszeiger, on top of which you can relax by the banks of the water basin. In the summer, the price of one trip to Sechszeiger, both ways, is 22.50 euros.
