Lermoos. The Grubigstein Ski Area

The Grubigstein Ski Area is located in the southwest of the Austrian resort of Lermoos. We are at the top of the eponymous mountain, next to the Grubig II cableway station. The camera on Mount Grubigstein offers a panoramic view of the Alpine landscapes, ski lifts and ski slopes, as well as the Hotel Grubighütte, built at an altitude of 2,050 meters above sea level. By the way, the peak of Grubigstein is only 180 meters higher than the hotel.

You can stay at this mountain hotel and wake up in the morning with a wonderful view of the Austrian valley for 30 euros, and the price includes a hearty breakfast. If you walk past Grubighütte, visit their restaurant, where delicious Tyrolean dishes are served.

From Lermoos, you can reach the two highest ski areas by two cabin lifts, Grubigsteinbahn and Grubig II. In the summer, you will be surprised by seeing bicycles attached to the cable cars. Extreme sportsmen take their bikes with them, in order to go down the meandering paths of Grubigstein.
