Mölltaler Gletscher. View of Sharek Mountain from Altek Peak

Altek is the second most important top of Mölltaler Gletscher. We are looking towards the main slopes of Sharek.

In the center, we can see the cable way station, Klühspies, as well as a mountain restaurant, Eissee. On the left is Altecklift. It is used by the most experienced skiers and snowboarders and leads to red (№14 and №15) and black (№13) slopes of the resort, which start at around 2821 meters above sea level. Unfortunately, as in other ski areas of the resort, there is no artificial lighting on Altek routes.

At the foot of Altek are Weißsee and Hochmurtenspaicher Lakes, the natural attractions of the resort, which are especially popular with tourists in summer.

The main buildings of Mölltaler Gletscher, as well as bus stops for tourists who arrive from the nearest large village of Flattach, are situated lower.
