Mönichkirchen. Panoramabahn Station
The upper station of the Mönichkirchen-Mariensee cableway is built in a picturesque location on the border of Lower Austria and Styria. From a height of one and a half kilometers above sea level, we can look at the ski slopes, as well as a high-speed chairlift that can carry up to 1,600 tourists per hour.
The track you see on the screen is quite difficult, so mostly experienced skiers use it. But in Mönichkirchen, there are routes for beginners, which are closer to the village. They can be used for skiing or snowboarding, when accompanied by experienced instructors.
In total, the resort has almost 15 kilometers of tracks, as well as a snowpark with ramps, springboards and other artificial obstacles. Thanks to snowmaking systems, skiing in Mönichkirchen is provided from December to April.
At the Panoramabahn station, guests of the resort can visit the mountain hut, Stoa Alm Chalet, where there are several beds for overnight accommodation, as well as a small restaurant.
