Mount Tressdorfer Höhe is unique because its peak offers views of several beautiful Alpine landscapes. Looking east, you will see the slopes of Gartnerkofel, turning to the south, you will see the impregnable wall of Madrizze in the distance, just behind which begins the territory of Italy, and in the north, tourists can see a panorama of the valley of the Gail River.

However, our attention is now turned in the western direction. Here, we can see one of the reservoirs of the ski resort, as well as the top of Trogkofel, through which the border of Italy and Austria passes. The peak of the mountain is sheer rock, the altitude of which is 2,279 meters above sea level.

Trogkofel is a mountain of the Carnic Alps and is surrounded by the two valleys of Gail and Aip. This mountain is also known among the locals under a different name, which can be translated as, Red Rocky Mountain. The first recorded ascent took place in 1886.

Due to the fact that the summit is located at a considerable distance from the neighboring mountains, a stunning panorama of the Alps, on the border of two states, opens up from Trogkofer.
