This webcam is located in charming Salzburg, the fourth-largest city in Austria, and captures its historical core.
The historical center of Salzburg, so called Altstadt (“the Old Town”) is famous worldwide for its baroque architecture.
Camera’s objective captures the central squares Residenzplatz, Mozartplatz and Kapitelplatz. Here, on this little spot, we will find the lion’s share of the city’s major landmarks.
The Salzburg Cathedral, the Franciscan Church, Saint Peter’s Abbey and Museum of Salzburg.
Another point of interest is the Benedictine monastery Nonnberg Abbey, located on a picturesque hill and founded in the far 714. The history says that here started the early history of the city of Salzburg.
