Tux. Panorama of the Village from Wanglspitze

We are looking at the village of Tux, from a height of 2420 meters above sea level. The camera is on top of Wanglspitze, next to one of the many cableways. Lifts are built along the mountain pass, and tourists have the opportunity to ski down all the slopes on a single ticket.

The municipality is divided into five major areas: Vorderlanersbach, Juns, Madseit, Lanersbach and Hintertux. They are all stretched along the Tux Valley. In each area, in addition to many accommodation options for skiers and snowboarders, there are historical buildings, such as old churches, mills, fairgrounds, and more.

In some areas, Tux has unique natural attractions. For example, Hintertux Glacier, where there are mineral springs. The glacier is famous for its ski slopes, which are open all year round.

Now, Tux’s main source of income is, of course, tourism but for many centuries, agriculture had been actively developing here.
