Ulrichsberg. Schöneben District
Northern Austria is the place where cross-country skiing is popular. Almost the whole country is famous for its ski resorts, but very few people know that there are popular hiking routes in this country. We are located in Schöneben, one such ski area in Upper Austria. Several hotels are built here, a large parking lot for tourists, a ski center, as well as a modern museum dedicated to the Bohemian Forest, which, in fact, is where we are.
BöhmerWaldArena primarily serves as an educational institution. Whole families and school classes come here to learn about the Bohemian Forest, in every detail. Children and adults can watch forest inhabitants, learn about the work of sawmills, try wood processing in the museum’s laboratory, as well as see many other exhibits. BöhmerWaldArena was opened in 2009. The ticket price is six euros for adults and three and a half euros for young travelers (it’s free for children under six years of age).
In the very center of Schöneben, there is a magnificent hotel, INNs HOLZ, with a large outdoor swimming pool, a sports ground with climbing wall, and other entertainment infrastructure.
