Wald im Pinzgau. Mitterleger Station

We are leaving for the Mitterleger station of the Wald im Pinzgau ski resort. There are several cableways servicing the ski runs of Königsleitenspitze (2,315 meters above sea level). Besides interesting ski routes, hiking trails, enjoyed in the summer months by tourists from different countries, are laid along the mountain.

On the screen, we can see several old lifts built in the 80-90s of the last century. All of them perfectly cope with their tasks because the length of each cableway does not exceed 2 kilometers, and the travel time is not more than 15 minutes.

Two- and four-seater chair lifts perfectly coexist with such modern cableways as Dorfbahn, built in 2010, connecting the peak of Königsleiten with the eponymous community.

The tracks which you see, are close to the borders of Salzburg and Tyrol. You can use all the Zillertal Arena lifts on a single season ticket, for 52 euros per day (if you come after 8:30, the price is a little lower). For fans of Alpine skiing, there is a special offer — a season ski pass, Zillertaler Superskipass, for 720 euros.
