Zell am Ziller. Kreuzjoch X-Press Station

Kreuzjoch is the main destination for most tourists coming to the Zell am Ziller Resort. This peak has a height of 2,558 meters above sea level, and the nearest cableways, including Kreuzjoch X-Press, are built only 150 meters below.

The camera shows us two lifts at once. The modern Kreuzjoch X-Press of 2007 and the old two-seater Kapauns of 1993 operate here. It is worth noting that both cableways serve quite complex ski slopes, so in this part of the resort only experienced skiers and snowboarders ride. The difference in altitude between the lower and upper stations of these lifts is about 350 meters.

We can’t see another funicular located at this station. The eastern direction is served by Krimml X-Press, with four-seat chairs. Unlike the aforementioned Krimml X-Press lifts, this is a real test for tourists because vacationers ride on it for more than 10 minutes. In bad weather, it can be very difficult.

Like in other large ski resorts, a single ticket for all lifts is valid in Zell-am-Ziller. A ski pass for one day costs 52 euros. With it, you can try out any route of Zillertal Arena.
