De Haan. Coast

Only a few minutes and you’re in famous Bruges, where another webcam is mounted. In De Haan, you’ll find a sandy beach, a sea that’s cold nearly year-round, and houses arranged along the coast in a novel configuration. Think there’s nothing interesting here? Think again: Einstein loved this place!

Actually, people say that De Haan is the greenest, most scenic town on the Belgian coast. Two nature reserves (Kykuit and Zandpanne) are located in the vicinity.

Like the Baltic seaside resorts, De Haan doesn’t offer guests an extended swimming season—the water stays warm for two months, at most. Then again, people don’t go to the north coast to swim do they?
