Would you like to visit Belgium? Here you are! Between Arschot and Diest is a town with an unpronounceable name, Scherpenheuvel-Zichem.

It’s a very decent town. People walk their dogs in parks, chatting affably; some are sitting in cafes and bars, and in the air, is the spirit of the Middle Ages. Elegant!

You should visit such small towns on your travel! Yes, it’s possible that no one speaks English there, and you may be fined for parking incorrectly, but the real Belgium is here and in places like this, not in the center of Brussels, or on postcards with the Manneken Pis.
