Kamloops. Panorama of the City

Kamloops City, located in the southwest of Canada, was built at the confluence of two branches of the Thompson River near Kamloops Lake. Not surprisingly, the name of the city literally means “cluster of water.” There is another version, according to which Kamloops received its name from the combination of French words “Camp des loups” meaning “wolf camp”.

The city is widely known because of its Thompson Rivers University, which trains not only Canadians, but also young people from other countries. The cam, with which we can see the panorama of the city, is set in the university hostel.

The Residence and Conference Centre is one of the tallest buildings in Kamloops, which is why we can observe the city from such a height.
