Whistler. Excalibur Gondola Lower Lift Station

Blackcomb Ski Resort in Canada is built on the slopes of two mountains, the Spearhead and Whistler. This camera is mounted on the lower station of the Excalibur Gondola cableway, at the Sundial Sundial Boutique Hotel. In addition to this four-star hotel with rooms from 150 CAD (110 US dollars), there are several other accommodation options next to the cable car, including the elite Hilton Whistler hotel.

The Excalibur Gondola was built in 1994. The eight-seater lifts guests to a height of 455 meters over the lower station in eight minutes. The length of the journey is more than two kilometers; the capacity of the funicular is about 2,600 passengers per hour.

The camera shows another resort lift, Fitzsimmons Express. It appeared in Whistler in 1999. The four-seater funicular works on the slopes of Mount Whistler (after which the city is named). The cable car has the same capacity as the Excalibur Gondola. The path length is 1,745 meters, and the elevation difference between the lower and upper stations is 347 meters.
