Hong Kong. Victoria Harbour

View over amazing Hong Kong, Victoria Harbour and the beautiful skyscrapers. It is so hard to believe today, that Hong Kong has over many years been a trouble spot of the world. This place survived after the First and the Second Opium Wars between the British Empire and the Qing Empire and, despite all the difficulties, won its own way to future.

Our webcam shows a striking picture of Victoria Harbour together with spires of the famous skyscrapers. Star ferries can be seen whisking back and forth side by side with modern motorboats and cargo ships.

Hong Kong is an extremely popular tourist destination. Many people come here to experience a unique mixture of eastern and western cultures, and see how beautifully they co-exist in one moment and in one place. Authentic Chinese atmosphere alternate with numerous remnants from the times of British dominion.

Among the most interesting sites of Hong Kong, we can mention the Peak, the Big Buddha on Lantau Island, the statue of Bruce Lee on the Avenue of Stars, Ladies’ Market and Temple Street Night Market, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre with Golden Bauhinia Square. If you are travelling with children, don’t forget to visit Hong Kong Disneyland and Hong Kong Ocean Park. Plan a walk down the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade in the evening time. Each day at 8 p.m. a spectacular light performance is showed right in Victoria Harbour.
