Opatija. Panorama of the Embankment

We are going to the west of Croatia, to Primorsko-Goranska County. The camera is installed in Hotel Milenij, in the center of Opatija.

On the screen, we can see hotels built along the waterfront, the resort’s coves, and the attractions of Opatija. Near the sea, you can see the fountain of Slatina, and on the mountainside is the large and beautiful Church of the Annunciation. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century in the Neo-Romanesque style.

Opatija became a resort a long time ago. The first vacationers came here 160 years ago. Almost all the tourist infrastructure is built at the foot of Uchka Mountain, but on the slopes, you can find interesting sights and hotels.

Do you like the view from Hotel Milenij? Unfortunately, this five-star hotel is not cheap, rooms in high season are from 270 euros per night. But it offers a great view from the windows and a delicious breakfast every morning, and you can stroll through the nearby park of St. James, with its fountains and ancient buildings. On the territory of the park is the church of the same name.
