Samobor. The Main Square

The charming city of Samobor is located just some 5 kilometres from the Croatian border with Slovenia and 20 kilometres from Zagreb. According to medieval records, this city was founded already in 1242.

Samobor is a very picturesque place. The city stands on the Gradna River, on the beautiful slopes of the Samobor hills.

This webcam is turned in the direction of the main city square, Trg Kralja Tomislava (or, simply, “Square of King Tomislav”). On the square, we can see some beautiful buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries along with many cozy cafes. If you once visit this square, do not forget to try one of the local specialties, the famous samobor pie with pastry cream. Its recipe has been kept secret since the middle ages.
