Senj. Embankment
On your screen is the popular Croatian resort, Senj, which is one of the two biggest towns in the Litsko-Senj županija. The camera is installed in front of the bay with a beautiful promenade and piers. You can rent one of the small boats moored here and go on an exciting sea voyage.
Right along the waterfront are popular cafes and hotels, as well as the Senj Museum, Konzum supermarket, a park, nightclubs, churches and chapels, sports facilities, and even a charging station for electric vehicles. The town is stretched along the coast and the main part is in the lowland, but there are several areas built on high hills.
The rich cultural program of the Senj includes visits to ancient architectural monuments. Among the most important are the Nehaj Fortress, built in the middle of the 16th century, the Gothic palace of the Vukasović from the 15th century, and the ancient Cathedral of St. Mary from the 12th century.
In order to attract as many tourists as possible, the annual Masquerade Carnival is held in Senj. It is held in the middle of August, when the tourist flow decreases.
