Split. The Embankment

The city of Split is the ancient capital of Dalmatia with a population of 200,000 people. The acquaintance with the city begins with the promenade of the Croatian National Revival; the locals call it Riva. The locals prefer to stroll leisurely in the shade of palm trees and enjoy the delightful sea views, which you can see on your screen.

The detailed model of the old town, set at the beginning of the promenade, makes it easy to plan your further route. The reconstruction of 2007 changed the appearance of the promenade; the boulevard was laid out with Brac stone and modern lights were set.

Not far from the Riva is another attraction of Split, Diocletian’s Palace, where there are noisy coastal cafes and restaurants full of guests.

Riva is a place of celebrations and festivals, as well as a place for sales of yachts and boats.
