Monínec Ski Resort is located in the heart of Czech Siberia (the unofficial name of the region on the border of Central and Southern Bohemia), which makes it a convenient holiday destination for many residents of the country. But this place is not suitable for a high-grade winter holiday, as there are only two routes of 1,800 meters, as well as a small snow park and a children’s ski park.

There are two direct routes for guests of the resort, as well as a small children’s slide and a slope with tubing. The main chair lift, working on the first and largest route, connects the upper and lower stations of Monínec. From above, you can go down to the middle of the slope and then use a drag lift to get to the top of the mountain again. You can see the interactive map of the resort here.

Prices in Monínec are not high; 10 hours of skiing (the resort works in the dark as well) cost only 900 CZK, which is about 33 euros. There are special offers for real fans of winter sports on the Monínec website, where you can buy a season ticket for 280 euros, which is valid throughout the Czech Republic.

Not only skiing is popular in Monínec. In the summer, the webcam shows fans of cycling. Next to the complex is a golf course, and on the slope of the mountain is an all-season tubing track. The self-service restaurant, M2, offers a hearty lunch in the Alpine atmosphere or a cup of hot coffee on the outdoor terrace.

The eponymous Hotel Monínec is built on the territory of the complex, where you can stay for only € 50.
