Tallinn. Panoramic View over the Bay of Tallinn

This webcam is located nearby a yacht club, right on the coast of the district of Pirita, one of the eight administrative districts of the city and the most prestigious and wealthiest one. The district received its name from the Pirita River, which flows into the Bay of Tallinn in a point situated just some 350 metres south from this webcam.

Each time when our webcam turns in northern direction, we can observe Viimsi peninsula, another popular resort area of the city. Behind it lies the island of Aegna, famous for its unspoiled nature and significant waves and thus representing a very popular destination for surfing and camping.

On the other side of the district of Pirita are situated breakwaters, providing favorable conditions for vessels coming to Tallinn Pirita Marina. One of the most prominent tourist attractions of the area are the ruins of the famous Pirita Convent of Saint Brigitta, built in the 14th century and later destroyed by the troops of Ivan the Terrible.
