Helsinki. The Ferry Station Makasiiniterminaali

This webcam is located in the district of Ullanlinna, on the territory of the Makasiiniterminaali Passenger Terminal. It captures beautiful view over the embankment of the Southern Port of Helsinki, as well as the ship’s exit point to the Gulf of Finland. The Makasiiniterminaali Passenger Terminal is located in close proximity to the city Market Square and provides regular ferry connection between Helsinki and Tallinn.

If we take a closer look to this webcam, we will at once notice some of the most prominent landmarks of the city – wonderful Helsinki Cathedral, buildings of the Swedish Embassy and the Helsinki City Hall, the last two located on the beautiful embankment. In the right part of the picture, we are observing the lately renovated Presidential Palace.

Now a few words about the famous Market Square on this embankment. This place still keeps the authentic atmosphere of the medieval merchant trade and is one of the most favorite tourist attractions of Helsinki. In local pavilions, you can purchase all you wish — from tasty fish and farm delicacies to unique souvenirs and handmade art objects.
