Rooms in the hotel are booked long before the start of the ski season, so you are unlikely to find a free place in Le Yéti, unless you have taken care of it in advance. In the neighborhood of Meribel is the famous resort of Courchevel, but the prices there are a lot higher than here. Therefore, there are fewer rich people, hence the prices in local cafes and restaurants are not sky-high.

No more than 2,000 people live here permanently but when a crowd of tourists from all over the world gather here, the population increases by ten or even fifteen times! It is in this part of the united ski complex, Trois Vallées, that the famous mountain peak, Péclet, is located, 3,561 meters above sea level.
