Paris. View of the Western Part of the City from Beaugrenelle Shopping Complex

The camera is not far from the Eiffel Tower, but it is directed towards the suburb of Boulogne-Billancourt. In the past century, this part of Paris was considered to be top-rank for doing business. The history of this place dates back to 1100, when on one of the bends of the Seine there appeared the small village of Menyul-les-Saint-Claude. Now in its place is the commune of Boulogne-Billancourt with a population of more than 100 thousand people.

During the daytime, in the left part of the screen, the facades of Tour Cristal skyscraper, one of Paris’s modern attractions of, sparkle in the sun, but Pont Mirabeau, which connects the banks of the Seine, has a much richer history, because it was opened in the XIX century and since 1975 has held the status of a historic sight of the capital of France.

Bois de Boulogne, which is located on the right side of Normandy highway, is barely visible in the background. This forest is also called the “lung” of the French capital, because it provides Paris with fresh air. Its territory is much larger than the famous Hyde Park and Central Park in New York.
