Braunlage. View of Mount Wurmberg

We are in the German spa town of Braunlage. Herzog-Wilhelm-Straße, along which the camera is directed, leads to local ski resorts, as well as to Eisstadion Braunlage, the city’s indoor ice rink, the tower of which you can see on the screen. On the left, we can see one of the many city hotels, Hotel Wagner. Fans of snowboarding and skiing, who go from here to Mount Wurmberg, stay here as well as at other hotels.

In the summer months, Braunlage is too crowded, because life never stops here; tourists ride bikes down the mountains and go hiking along the tourist paths of Wurmberg. Sonnenberg is another popular mountain of these places. Its slopes and trails are equipped for winter sports enthusiasts.

If you look at a picture of this city from a hundred years ago, you will hardly notice any difference. The architecture is treated with reverence and they try not to break the link between generations by avoiding sharp changes in the fashion trends of construction.
