We are in a Munich satellite town, Fürstenfeld, on the territory of the abbey Fürstenfeld. It was founded on the site of the Cistercian monastery. This architectural monument of antiquity is considered to be a masterpiece of the late baroque in southern Germany.

The first building of the monastery dates back to the thirteenth century. During the Thirty Years War in 1632-1633, the monastery was plundered by the troops of the Swedish king, Gustavus Adolphus, and the monks left their abode for a time, having moved to Munich.

The camera is installed opposite the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which took almost 50 years to build in the eighteenth century. Paintings and murals of the church were entrusted to the best European masters of those years, among them Francesco Appiani and the Asam brothers. Despite the fact that the church was built by different generations of architects, it was made in a single architectural ensemble.

At different times, a military hospital and a boarding school for children of school age, as well as the Police College were on the territory of the abbey.
