Thale. Bode Gorge

View to the Bode Gorge from a cable-way, which leads to the Hexentanzplatz , or the “Witches′ Dance Floor”.

The Hexentanzplatz is an Old Saxon cult place, at which celebrations were held in honor of the “Hagedisen”, goddesses of forest and mountain.

The Gorge is a German national reserve, and it is walkable only.
