Arachova. Parnassos Ski Resort
Greece is known for its seaside resorts, but you can also have a great holiday there in the winter, such as in central Greece. This camera is installed in the ski resort of Parnassos. It was named after Mount Parnassus; the height of which is 2,455 meters above sea level. The mountain has been described by many writers and is a symbolic place where people of art live.
But back to the ski slopes of Parnassos. We can see them from the top station of the cableway. They operate from December to May and are serviced by 16 modern lifts. The main route with a chair lift can be seen on your screen, as well as several training and children’s trails where the bugle operates.
The total length of the Parnassos is 36 kilometers. The resort has been successfully developing since its opening in 1982. In comparison with the popular European ski resorts, prices in Parnassos are much lower. For example, a ski pass for one day costs only 25 euros.
You can get to the resort by car or by bus, which runs the entire ski season.
