Pyrgos Kallistis. Panorama of the Island

We are looking in the direction of additional islands in the Santorini group, from the center of Thera, the largest island. The island has a very rich history because it is known that people lived here back in the 3rd millennium BC. But the remains of the former civilizations date back to a later time because the shape of the islands and all its heritage were seriously damaged during the eruption of the volcano 3,500 years ago.

Now, Thera is one of the popular Greek resorts. There are several hundred temples here, as well as the ruins of a settlement of the Minoan era. They can be found at Cape Akrotiri, which is located in the southern part of the island of Thera.
