Danube-Ipoly National Park. View from the Börzsöny Mountain

We are now on the very top of one of the beautiful peaks of the Börzsöny mountain range in Northern Hungary. In the right part of the picture, you can observe the tourist information office Nagy Hideg-hegyi túristaház. Actually, this is a quite outstanding institution, while it stands at the altitude of 864 metres above the sea level.

Besides being a tourist information office, Nagy Hideg-hegyi hosts a hotel, which at one time can accommodate up to 50 persons. The hotels features a sauna, a bubble bath and an own restaurant (serving breakfasts, lunches and dinners just as regular as clockwork).

Prices for one room is about 15-20 euro, so you have to book your room very far in advance, if you really want to stay here during your journey in Northern Hungary.

Surroundings of Börzsöny attract tourists and lovers of nature during all seasons with their scenic views and pure air. Nagy Hideg-hegyi is also open all-year-round.
