Sátoraljaújhely. Town Panorama
The Hungarian town with the complex name, Sátoraljaújhely, has become a popular tourist destination due to the large entertainment complex,Zemplén Kálandpark, built on Magas Hill. The complex includes several ski runs and one toboggan run, an indoor ice rink and other types of summer and winter entertainment.
The camera is installed on the top of this mountain, at an altitude of 503 meters above sea level, where you’ll find the upper stations of cable cars. In 2012, the longest ski lift in Hungary was built on this mountain. The two-seat chairs of Libego cableway pass a distance of 1,333 meters, and its stations have a height difference of 374 meters.
Every hour, up to 400 people can get to the summit by Libego cableway. In addition to ski runs, an observation deck of the high tower awaits holidaymakers on Magas Hill.
This panoramic camera shows us not only the slopes of the mountain, but the town itself. Its complex name is collected from the phrase which can be translated as, “New town under the tent.” In the town, tourists can enjoy the historical development of the center, including the Cathedral and the Baroque Town Hall.
