Iceland. Hekla Volcano

Hekla is an old stratovolcano, one of the most active volcanoes in Iceland. In the ancient times it was often called the “Gateway to Hell”.

This volcano is a very popular destination for enthusiasts of active sport. People come here for hiking and mountain climbing, specially in the summer time.
