Gazzaniga. Square of Saint Hippolytus
Gazzaniga is a small municipality in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy. The town’s only attraction is the Church of Saint Hippolytus of Rome. Hippolytus of Rome lived in the 3rd century and was one of the most important theologians in the Christian Church of Rome.
The church was built in the 1457. Our webcam captures its main entrance (left upper corner). The square where the church stands is called Square of Saint Hippolytus. A feast in the honor of the martyr and town’s patron is arranged here every summer from the 12th to 15th of August.
