Genoa. View of the Port from the Lighthouse

The port of Genoa is considered the second largest on the Mediterranean coast, after Marseilles. For many centuries the ships of traders of spices, fabrics and other riches, as well as vessels of slavers, came here.

The port spans 20 kilometers of the coast of the city, and it’s difficult to get around on foot. There are a cruise port, a sea terminal and berths for tankers, shipyards and docks. This is a view of the port and harbor of Genoa from Lantern Lighthouse. Built in 1128, it still remains a navigator for ships. Inside the lighthouse there is a museum chronicling the history of navigation.
