Sexten. Mount Helm
Despite the fact that the station of the ski resort, which you see on the screen, is named after Mount Helm, the top of the mountain itself is slightly higher. An additional lift leads to it, thanks to which tourists can climb almost to the peak of Helm. Helm cable car, with triple seats, can take you to a height of 2,203 meters above sea level, and the peak of Helm will still be 231 meters higher.
The rotary camera shows us the restaurant, Monte Elmo, the Übungslift hoist, built in 1997 and serving a short half-kilometer section of the slope, as well as trails along the cable car.
You can reach Helm station from Sesto only by Vierschach-Helm cable car. It is equipped with 6-seat cabins, moving to an altitude of 2,046 meters above sea level, and serving up to 2,800 people per hour. The distance the cabins cover, within 10 minutes, exceeds 3 kilometers, and the difference in altitude between the lower and upper stations is 915 meters.
The ski resort you see on the screen belongs to the association, Tre Cime Dolomiti. If you take care of tickets in advance, and buy them pre-sale, the ski pass will cost € 42.5 per day, using all the lifts of the association.
