Trieste. Borsa Square

This webcam is located in the beautiful city Trieste that lies in northeastern part of the country. Once a part of the Habsburg Monarchy, than the fourth largest city of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and a bone of contention between the Eastern and Western blocs after the Second World War, Trieste today represents a modern seaport with prospering economy, shipbuilding and great past that lies behind all that.

The Roman Theatre, Castle of San Giusto, Miramare Castle, Grand Canal and The Serbian Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity is only a small part of points of interest in Trieste.

Our webcam captures one of the central squares, Piazza della Borsa (Square of Borsa). The most famous building located on this square (the one with columns, in the background) is the old exchange house.
