Yamanakako. Lake Yamanaka
Sixty thousand years ago, the symbol of Japan, Mount Fuji, blocked the river channels with lava flows to form the five picturesque lakes: Yamanaka, Kawaguchi, Sai, Motosu and Shoji. The webcam offers a view of Lake Yamanaka, and the cone of Mount Fuji is clearly visible in the cloudless sky.
Lake Yamanaka is located at 981 meters above sea level, occupying the third place among the alpine lakes in Japan. The depth of the lake is twelve meters, the area is 6.4 square kilometers. City residents, wishing to be closer to nature, often camp on the lakeshores. In the summer months, tennis enthusiasts gather on the eastern side of Lake Yamanaka. They are attracted by thirteen hundred courts, located in the village of Hirano. In the winter, the lake is occupied by amateur skaters.
