Kandersteg. Houses at the Foot of the Mountain
The camera in Swiss Kandersteg is installed in one of the residential buildings in the eastern part of the community. On the left, we can see the mountain of Innerer Fisistock, whose height reaches 2,787 meters above sea level.
In the right part of the image, on the edge of Kandersteg, you can see the rock of Uschenegrat. Avalanches often descend here because the rocks are very steep. It looks especially impressive from the rooms of the guest houses Winteregghütte and Altelshütte, built almost at the foot of the cliff.
Despite the absence of ski slopes in Kandersteg, the community is a popular tourist destination, especially with large families. At the resort, you can find heated outdoor pools, tennis courts, spa centers, climbing walls and much more. In the summer, lifts deliver hikers up the slopes of the mountains.
The infrastructure of the resort also includes dozens of hotels, camping sites for motor homes and tents, restaurants and cafes, both in Kandersteg itself and in its surrounding natural attractions, like Oeschinensee.
The only drawback is cloudy weather, which can last for several days, so you cannot enjoy the views of the Alpine mountains.
