Kaprun. Kitzsteinhorn

A distinctive feature of the ski resort, Kitzsteinhorn, located on the same mountain, is that the season begins in October on the highest glacial slopes, located at an altitude of over 3,000 meters, and lasts until early summer. A panoramic camera is installed at one of the intermediate points of the resort, at an altitude of 2,605 meters. We can see the highest trails and lifts leading to it.

There are also two snow parks with tracks of four difficulty levels, as well as a fan zone with waves, springboards, and a halfpipe of almost 7 meters in height and 160 meters in length.

For the convenience of the most extreme tourists, at an altitude of 2,450 meters, a large guest house, Bundessport und Freizeitzentrum, was built. Despite its unusual location, the hotel is very cheap (the cost of accommodation is about 50 euros), therefore, a room in it must be booked in advance. If you stay at this guest house, you do not have to return to the village of Kaprun, at the foot of the mountain where the main hotels of the resort are located, after skiing each day.
