Lugano. Panorama of the City, from the Top of Monte San Salvatore

We can see one of the territories of Switzerland, going into Italy. From Monte San San Salvatore, we are looking at the towns and villages of the two countries. At the end of the 19th century, the top and suburbs of Lugano Paradiso were connected by the funicular. At the top of the mountain, there is a museum, a restaurant and an observation deck for tourists.

The rotary camera shows other mountains in this district of Switzerland. First, on the screen, we can see the slopes of Monte Generoso, the peak of which is 1,701 meters above sea level. Below is the Melide Bridge and famous Swissminiatur, which has a miniature copy of the country’s banks, watches and cheese. The bridge was built in the middle of the 19th century.

Then, the top of San Giorgio appears on the screen. This mountain lies between the two southern arms of Lake Lugano. The mountain is pyramidal in shape and covered with a dense forest. The last panorama is of Monte San Salvatore, as well as the residential area of Grancha, in the heart of the peninsula.
