Serfaus. Planseggbahn Station
You can see the panorama of Alpine slopes in the resort of Serfaus, which opens to us from Planseggbahn Station. The station was named after the nearby mountain peak, Planskopf, with an altitude of 2,803 meters above sea level. There are also higher peaks nearby, but they are steep cliffs, so they cannot be reached by the lift.
The cableway, Planseggbahn, was built in 1997. Every 7 seconds, its six-seat armchairs get tourists to a height of 2,376 meters. The total length of the route is almost 1,800 meters, and the difference in altitude between the lower and upper stations is half a kilometer.
The surveillance camera first shows the ski runs and the Inn Valley. After the end of the ski season, you can see several water basins on the slopes, next to which are children’s parks, popular with tourists who come to the resort in the summer.
When the camera turns to the south, we can see other funiculars of Serfaus, for example, Obere Scheidbahn, built on a high hill. And, finally, inaccessible slopes of the Samnaungruppe Mountain Range appear in front of us.
