Saas-Fee. Saas Valley
We can see the Saas Valley in the Swiss canton of Valais. High mountains are on both sides of the valley, so it is not surprising that many ski resorts are built in this region. A panoramic camera is installed between the ski slopes of the communities of Saas-Fee and Saas-Grund. Also in the valley are Saas-Balen and Saas-Almagell.
In addition to popular ski resorts, the Saas Valley is known as the site of the original sheep dwelling of the Saaser Mutte, which are now under threat of extinction.
The mountains around the valley are about 4,000 meters high, and there are many mountain peaks that exceed 4,000 meters above sea level.
We are looking at the panorama of the Saas Valley from the station of the Hannig lift. It is located at an altitude of 2,340 meters above sea level and was built in 1969. Until 1992, ski slopes had been built there, but with the development of neighboring resorts, the trails ceased to be serviced.
