Karas. Gondwana Canyon Lodge

It is likely that the usual inhabitants of Namibia do not quite understand why “well-fed” Europeans and Americans come to their desert. The exoticism of these places doesn’t excite the native people — they’ve gotten used to it. Additionally, it’s hard to see any romance around you when you are just trying to survive every day…

Inhabitants of the well-to-do countries are attracted to Namibia because of its ascetic nature — the unsettledness, poverty, and simplicity of its people — and you can travel here with sufficient comfort. To see the natural landmarks and watch animals in their natural environment, you do not need to live in a jeep or spend the night in a shack in the middle of the savannah, the whole country is covered with a network of cozy lodges.

Gondwana Canon Lodge is one them. Located in the same park area, it is also within easy reach of Fish River Canyon, the largest canyon on the continent.
