Region Friuli-Venezia Giulia has many advantages when the question comes to its tourist attractions. First of all, it is located close to the borders with Slovenia and Austria, and it is easy to travel from one country to another. Friuli-Venezia Giulia also offers the guests wonderful ski resorts in addition to local beaches and historical monuments of very high quality.

Ski centers are located very close to each other, mostly spread over the eastern part of the region. Distances are so short (about one, one and a half hour drive), that people can visit them all one by one. Ski-pass is valid for all resorts of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and even some slopes in the border area.

Zoncolan Ski Resort is a popular destination among snowboard fans and enthusiasts of free-ride. In the summer time, this ski resort hosts professional road bicycle racing competition Giro d’Italia.
