Luxor. The Temple of Luxor

This webcam is located in the city of Luxor, the capital of Upper Egypt. The modern city stands on the place of the ancient city of Thebes and is often being called the “world’s greatest open-air museum”.

The major attractions of Luxor are the temple complexes of Karnak and Luxor, with the 3-kilometres long Avenue of Sphinxes in-between. You can also visit the Theban Necropolis, which is located on the other bank of the Nile River. It was used for burials during the Pharaonic times, and today offers its visitors an interesting complex of mortuary temples and tombs.
