Carantec. The Survey Camera of the Embankment
French Carantec, on the coast of the English Channel, has been considered a resort for almost 100 years and receives thousands of tourists every year. There is a well-developed sports infrastructure, tennis courts with various surfaces, football stadiums, water sports, and golf courses.
Every tourist who comes here should try his hand at rowing. In the local specialized school, they can take kayak courses with experienced instructors.
Carentec has incredible sandy beaches, a strait, rocks, islands, and mountains. Even the smallest islands are built up with medieval houses and castles, such as Château du Taureau, an island castle in the Gulf de Morlaix, built almost 500 years ago.
In addition to tourism, the breeding and sale of oysters is actively developed in this village, where 15 oyster farms produce about 6,500 tons of oysters a year.
