Lausanne. Bessieres Bridge (Pont Bessieres)

Our webcam is located in the wonderful city of Lausanne and captures one of its touristic attractions, the Pont Charles Bessires. It is named after the famous Swiss banker Charles Bessieres, who donated the most money for its construction in the early beginning of the 20th century.

This modern bridge is used both by cars and pedestrians and lies in the very heart of the city, above the streets Centrale and Saint-Martin. In 2007 the Lausanne Metro car station Saint-Martin was opened on its lower level.
